A beautiful gem tucked away here in Lexington. As nice a tour as you would find d in the D.C. area. A must see.

There are timed tours, so you may want to come early. The grounds and gardens are lovely, there are several outbuildings as well as a cafe and small museum room, so you can easily pass the time until your tour. Parking is adequate and convenient. The house isn't handicap accessible, you will need to walk up a flight of stairs-they... 更多

This place is lovely. Just outside downtown, the home sits on a serene 7 acre site. The home was rebuilt by his son after Henry Clay's death due to structural issues. Henry Clay was one of Aaron Burr's lawyers and a candidate for president. You will definitely learn something on this tour. Make sure to take a walk on the... 更多

Touring this beautiful federal style home and the surrounding grounds was a very pleasant and educational experience. Excepting for a few years after the Civil War, it had been home to various members of the Clay family until about 1950 (and a museum ever since). While Henry Clay's original War of 1812 era mansion had to be torn down in... 更多

So much history! I would recommend the Henry clay estate, and he Ashland park area in general. Walk around, have a picnic, walk your dog! Really a calm and charming little area.

A grand estate, fitting for one of Kentuckys' eminent statesmen! Filled to the brim with artifacts and family heirlooms. A must see for every Kentuckian!

Although we live only a few miles away, we had not visited Ashland in more than 20 years. The change is remarkable. This is a beautiful house, with more history than one can take in during a single visit. The tour is virtually a history lesson covering a very important time in American history. Henry Clay played a very important... 更多

We had previously lived in Lexington, but had never visited. We took the opportunity recently while in town to correct this. Wish we had gone long ago. Henry Clay was an influential figure, and many bits of his history were unknown to us, but fascinating.

My husband & I took a long weekend and visited Lexington for the 1st time. We toured the Henry Clay Estate Friday afternoon and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. Would recommend a visit.

I have long admired Henry Clay as perhaps the most impactful American politician who never became president, though he was "oh so close" so many times! For that, I was intrigued to see the grounds of his old home but be aware that this is not the same house. His son tore down the original house and built a new... 更多
