As is all of extreme Southeastern Kentucky, this mountain range is beyond beautiful. Well maintained roads throughout the park allow for driving tours. Do not miss any of the overlooks! Any season is well-taken. If you chose to drive along the Little Shepherd Trail, understand that there is no room to turn around and very little room to meet oncoming... 更多
Wow! Such a gorgeous, serene park!!! My husband and I took a short road trip to get away from the tourism madness that happens in the Smokies this time of year. I needed to see some mountain majesty that wasn't cluttered up with tourists and traffic. Kingdom Come delivered and then some. The park was very clean with scenic vistas... 更多
The park is due for a couple of updates but that doesn't take away from the beauty of this hidden gem, the shelters with natural cut stone are quite lovely along with camping access and picnic areas as well as play grounds for the kids, their's a decent sized lake that is stocked with trout and cat fish for the... 更多
Staying in the area we decided to check this place out. Following the gps on the phone it took us to the old enterence. There is a very small green sign saying the new enterence is 1/2 mile up the road. We stopped at the visitor information area which was closed. The gift shop & ranger station was also closed.... 更多
This is a beautiful park with great views, with a new paved road. Stocked pound for fishing. Camp ground, BBQ grills and picnic tables. The only thing is there is only portable bathrooms you think a state park would have bathrooms. Great Views

There was no mention of this on line. The area seemed somewhat neglected, almost deserted and in need of updating. There was... 更多
I have wonderful childhood memories here. And I also have adulthood memories as well. The trails, the scenery, the wildlife. This park has it all. There are picnic smelters, playgrounds, bathrooms, a gift shop, Mini golf, paddle boats and plenty of ducks to feed.
This is a nice park, and Harlan County certainly needs more parks like this. The town of Cumberland is so depressing, it is like visiting an old West ghost town, but instead of the gold playing out, it was the coal. This park is especially good in the Fall, the variety of trees makes for a great variety of colors.
