The drive out to Tater Hill Pottery is gorgeous! The hills and "knobs" were in full vibrant fall color. The GPS found it easily, although you feel like you are out in "no mans land." The setting of the pottery barn and farms is fabulous. Sarah, the owner, encourages you to walk around and take in the view. She is... 更多
While driving down a windy road today in Berea, KY, we came across a sign for Tater Knob Pottery and Farm. It is a beautiful fall day and we have an afternoon to explore, so we followed the signs not knowing what to expect. When walked through the door we were greeted straight away. Sarah, offered to show us how... 更多
If you enjoy meeting true artists and craftsmen and learning about the process of creating a work of art, then you must visit Sarah and her family of potters. This is a well hidden gem. Our visit to Tater Knob was one of the highlights of our trip to KY!
After reading reviews, we decided to venture out to see the pottery....boy were we surprised! Besides beautiful pottery, we watched the process to make it and met Sarah and her son who were very interesting and informative....this stop is a must do when you are in Berea...Thanks Sarah!
It is not far from "downtown" Berea, Ky and well worth the drive. They have beautiful pottery with which you can choose plates, bowls, pitchers and one-of-a-kind pieces. I purchased a cool coffee pot. The colors they use are beautiful. I am so glad that I took the time to go. We didn't get to see them in "operation", however... 更多
Visited Tater Knob Pottery with another couple in spring of 2016. Use you GPS or make sure your driver has a clue....ours didn't. Not the difficult to find if you know where you going; but signage off the connecting road is easy to miss. The owner and family are very warm and friendly even offering a free drink when we... 更多
We decided to visit the studio after we found some examples of their work at the Dinner Bell Restaurant gift shop. They had a brochure that directed us to Tater Knob Pottery 12 miles outside of Berea. It is a lovely drive that takes you back up into the hills; drive slow as the roads get narrow and keep gpoing... 更多
Plan to stay at least an hour because there is so much to peruse and the hospitality is great as well. I was immediately greeted and given a tour of what colors and types of pottery were where. It is hard to decide. I shared great conversation about being from NC with Sarah and she even made me coffee for... 更多
Tater Knob might be a little hard to find, but the search is worth it. Sarah, Jeff and David are always willing to answer any questions you might have. Often you can even watch Sarah throw a pot on the wheel. The pottery is gorgeous and functional. I love their pieces!
