Chock full of local history, including the thousands of fossils found on the farm of the Fick family.... thousands upon thousands of shark's teeth, found KANSAS, where there is not even ocean access!! Lots of Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley memorabilia. (The town was named... 更多
This place was housed in anew building next to the public library. The Ladies were Friendly and recommended another museum like it down the road. It had an assortment of fossils and daily life implements inside. Kids would Love the Old games and dolls area. The fish and fossils even had my teens talking. There was a place in the... 更多
Free admission, indoors only- great for all weather. Length of visit: 30 min to 40 min. This place is very well kept with museum quality artifacts. You will see a large number of ancient fossils as well as a carefully preserved history of the local area. I would highly recommend a visit here for anyone in the area.
Stopped by on my way to Garden City. This museum is not too big, but has a lot of artifacts and fossils. The sod house was cool to see. There are also a lot of railroad artifacts as well. Nice museum to stop by if in the area.
A fine collection of Jurassic and Cretaceous marine fossils that would not be out of place in any large natural history museum. There's also a good sized exhibit of "plains life" artifacts, including a sod cabin and other well interpreted historical items.

Asking only donations, they had a wide range of displays, everything from fossils and geodesic to old household items and farm equipment. Everything was beautifully displayed, the staff was very helpful but not intrusive, and the museum was extremely clean. There was a wonderful photographic display on a hinged setup on one wall as you entered the museum. The only... 更多
