This was really interesting to see...I always do research before each trip, and understood the geology of the rock formations. I was able to explain the origins of the formations to the kids before we got there. Then let them loose on the rocks to forget all that I had lectured them on...They might remember some, LOL! It was wonderful... 更多
Great for kids to get out of the car and just explore. They keep the area clean and the rocks are truly a fun place to let your kids explore and let loose.
After some recommendations from friends, we took an almost 2 hr road trip to check this place out. We were not disappointed! It's $3/adult and .50/kid. We spent approx 2 hours or so, (may go back in the fall when it's a bit cooler, it was getting hot) there. Pack a picnic they have a covered picnic area to enjoy... 更多
Stopped by on our way home from Concordia. Super cute town, clean looking. The road to Rock City is a dirt road, NOT GRAVEL, DIRT!! We live on a gravel road so it wasn't a big deal to us, however, it had just rained and the road was a mud pit! Very nice park area, nicely kept, with picnic tables... 更多
Very interesting little park. *The park is little, but the "rocks" are HUGE! We would have enjoyed it more if we had gone at a time that was a little less steamy. ;) The kids would have stayed for hours climbing and they have a cute little picnic area.
Rock City is a really neat place to visit. There are tons of circular rocks formed in the middle of no where. You are able to climb on them, which is really cool. We went in the off season, but I hear if you go in the summer, the little gift shop is open and the person inside can give... 更多
Is a small park with big round rocks. We were passing thru and excised to stop and have lunch there. It was hot and windy that day, my kids hop on the rocks and jump and had a good time we ate our sandwiches and off we go . They have vaulted bathrooms , but they were pretty clean. Very... 更多
Traveled to Rock City near Minneapolis, KS for the first time last Saturday. A very interesting grouping of large rocks. Strange how they are found in such a cluster. Over the years since their discovery they have had many, many people carve their initials, or the date, etc. The admission fee is very reasonable of $3.00. I wandered around taking numerous... 更多
We were very happy we stopped here. It's off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. We have never seen anything like it before and it provides great opportunities for photos. (If you can manage to get a rock that doesn't have a ton of kids climbing all over it!).
