We stopped by on our way through to check it out. It's something cool to see. It is right beside the KOA we stayed at which made it even better. Definitely something to check out if you are passing through and need to stretch your legs out of the car.
Totally worth the stop if you love picture taking!! We drove around the town for a little bit afterward and there are also smaller versions of world's largest easel (though these are still much larger than your everyday easel)... One is near the largest easel and another is in a park nearby. Not sure exactly - we were aimlessly exploring!
Have driven by for years, but finally stopped. The grounds have been beautifully landscaped. Definitely worth stopping and taking a closer look.
Neat thing to see from the highway or you can drive down to it. Drove by several times never saw it up close. Talked about driving by after we ate in town. Plugged in adress in Google maps. My wife was driving Google made 2 or 3 directions before we left the parking lot. She said shut that thing up... 更多
We stayed in Goodland for one night while traveling from Missouri to Colorado. We didn't see much of anything interesting to take a picture with so we drove the few miles to see the giant Van Gogh replica, afterall, Kansas is the Sunflower state! I think this location would be greatly improved if they had real sunflowers growing here too.... 更多
We were stopping in Edson with our horse at a local horse hotel. While we were chatting with our host regarding local eateries, he kept referring to the "Van Gogh". Of course, we just nodded like we knew what he was referring to. On our way into Goodlands for meal at Crazy Rs, we saw the massive structure. Certainly easy... 更多
I do like cheesy, roadside kitsch especially when it's not too far off my route. I found this one by visiting the Roadside America website which is filled with cheesy stops, We were in Kansas where, lets face it, there's not a lot to do along that stretch of highway and Goodland was a good place to take a break.... 更多
