We camped for one night in the campground. The park is very pretty. The host and hostess for the campground were great. They went above and beyond to offer fun things for the campers to participate in.
My visit was just a drive through but there appeared to be nice facilities that are common in most state parks. The unique part for me was the "ford". And area of water with well marked edge to drive across the stream, river or creek depending on your point of view. After watching a couple of other cars similar to... 更多
The park was the first stop on our itinerary as it has the first Bridge and the tower to view ,easy access to the Bridge and I'd have to suggest that if your traveling with kids or folks that have health or leg issues to drive up to the tower

I love the water that flows over the road! It is truely unique place that is fun and peaceful! I would recommend to anyone who wants a nice, clean, and beautiful setting.
An almost unique state park located within the town of Winterset. The woods are dense with old hardwoods and newer growth. Walking paths offer a great place to stroll or run for exercise while enjoying the quiet beauty of the place. We saw two deer while we were visiting the park.
