A museum about windmills that most of us have seen, but have never known the history about! Docent takes you through 15/20 min background of windmills, then you watch a 5 min video - then off to see the windmills in action - this is totally worth a stop!
The windmills were fascinating. The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. The engineering of the windmills was very creative. There are many working windmills. In the 1920's there were over 80 manufactures near this site.
Take a walk along a trail of antique windmills lovingly preserved by volunteers. This museum is unique, and important in the preservation of a bygone era. There is also an indoor section in the barn, and a gift shop. We attend Kite Day most every Mother's Day, and the Winter Wonderland in December. Both events are worth attending.

There seemed to be a lot of interesting different types of windmills and I am sure that there is more information inside. We hope to return again some day when it is... 更多
We found this on the web while looking for things to do in Indiana. The lady who gave us the tour of the museum was very knowledgeable (a volunteer staff) and we learned many interesting things we never knew about windmills. The video you watch before going into the barn museum was really informative. Great old windmills - would like... 更多
This is a very nice place to go for families and all others. The tour guides are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgable. My husband and I had a wonderful time, finding out more than we ever knew about windmills.
The older gentlemen that gave us a tour and gave us all of the information on windmills was GREAT!! He was super nice and very knowledgeable! My girls were amazed at the size of the actual windmills on site! Cute gift shop too, my daughter bought a model size windmill, she loved building it once we got home.
I agree with the other reviewers. It's not very big but I enjoyed walking around the windmills and reading about the different mechanisms used to operate them - some were unique in the way that they changed to limit the speed of the windmill in high winds. Free to walk around the grounds and a minimal $5 or less (nice... 更多
