Parked at the southeast end of the trail at Fountain Square and biked the entire trail with spouse after lunch at the Bosphorus nearby. Had a great ride through parts of Indianapolis we hadn't really been before and it was fun to follow the hexagonal trail through downtown and past some really interesting works of art. Everyone we met along... 更多
The cultural trail has a great view of downtown Indy. It connects to the monon trail so it is great for walking and bike riding. I recommend this to travelers coming to Indy. It's easy to get around without all the traffic and the trail leads to many great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!
Yes in town for the first time and had free time Sunday to walk the trail and go in a few museums. Wide walkways work well when you have walkers, runners and bikers sharing the same space. There are rental bike stations you happen upon. I only walked as far as the canal and the NCAA Museum but I love... 更多
I like the Cultural Trail a lot. I used it almost every day when I worked in downtown Indianapolis and it was both enjoyable and practical. The design is awesome. It incorporates both transportation and sustainability elements. There are swales, for example, that filter runoff. I have one concern with the Cultural Trail and that is the valet parking operation... 更多
What better way to see the city of Indianapolis than riding your bicycle. See beautiful monuments, memorials and art work. Easy ride on flat terrain. Recommend a Sunday morning ride - less traffic.
There is so much to love about the Cultural Trail. It has helped transform so many places it passes by in the Downtown area. It is safe and runs by many places of interest. It connects all the cultural districts of Downtown. Just about every weekend in decent weather we use it to ride our bikes to favorite restaurants, shopping,... 更多
Indianapolis has been on a 50-year path to assuring its downtown remains vital and inviting. More than a billion dollars has been spent in downtown development, which included its successful early efforts to become a sports mecca (it’s home to the National Collegiate Athletic Association and National Federation of State High School Associations). In the last decade, the city has... 更多
Walking the "trail" (it's a paved off-street path around the city) is fine I'm sure, but the best way to do this is by using the bikeshare. Find a bikeshare station (they're all along the trail) and get a membership for the day. It costs $8 and you can borrow bikes as often as you like all day long (for... 更多
I love biking the Cultural Trail. You do have to watch closely to follow it but it is well marked. It is easy to take detours off & get back on to finish the circle! I live north of town & don't get downtown Indy very often so I feel like I'm on vacation when I ride it! There are... 更多
As a cyclist who is not traveling with her bike, this trail and the accessibility of the BikeShare program was a fabulous way to explore the city. Endless history and views, between the river, historical buildings, museums, and neighborhoods, this trail is a MUST for people who love exploration and trails. The BikeShare program offers $8,day rental provided you deposit... 更多
