Gorgeous cathedral. Tours by older volunteers- so be prepared to move slowly. Ball room under construction so it was disappointing to not see it. Only one door open- froze while trying got locate it! We walked form Library, but there is parking at the cathedral.
This is a beautiful piece of architecture in downtown Indianapolis - within walk of the grassy mall, the war memorial and library. A tour of the outside is great when it is closed, but take the weekday tour, if you can, and learn about free masonry. Amazing.
The Scottish Rite Cathedral is a beautiful facility and can be rented out of special events that can hold up to several hundred people. Walking through the different floors is like taking a tour in time. The walls and ceilings are richly decorated in ornately carved wood and stained glass in all the windows. When I last visited they were... 更多
My wife and I took a tour of the Scottish Rite Cathedral not long after we moved to Indianapolis. We were amazed by what we saw and what we learned. My Mensa group meets twice a month in the Double Eagle Cafe for lunch, which has never failed to please me. The quiche is always tasty and the salad bar is a generous good deal. One afternoon we stayed on after lunch to take the free tour of the palatial rooms. They are really something to see and the guide... 更多

I think this is one of the most photographed structures in downtown Indy. The design has a lot of character and the materials used is impressive. The interior is classic gentleman's club: wood panel, leather, and cigar room,
My son and I recently visited Indianapolis. We did not get to tour the inside of the Cathedral but the outside and grounds are beautiful. Also, the beautiful bells that chime are amazing to hear.
An interesting tour and pleasant tour guide. The building is incredibly beautiful. The facts of the building and how it was built was very engaging.
