I was surprised to see a museum of this caliber in Indy! The building is really beautiful. We've been members at the Art Institute in Chicago, so I wasn't really expecting much, but we enjoyed the eclectic collection. Most of all, we enjoyed the grounds. The gardens are really lovely, especially during the spring. I would absolutely by a membership... 更多
It is one of popular place in indinapolis, united state. Lot of items / historical information kept in this Museum. 2-3 hours time easily can be spent
I visited Indianapolis several years for a conference and was determined to bring my man here someday. What a nice downtown! It's very clear that a good deal of planning went into revitalizing this city. Little did I even know when I made our arrangements to visit, that there was a "Dream Car" exhibit at the Museum of Art. What... 更多
Although the threat of rain forced the ceremony to be indoors, we still felt like we were outside. The Deer Zink Pavillion has huge windows that made nature feel very close. The food and service at the dinner reception were excellent. We were unable to visit the art collection but loved walking through the gorgeous gardens. The IMA was a lovely... 更多
We love art museums and liked this one very much. It is clean, bright and airy and from our perspective very manageable. I have mobility issues and some museums can be too large to navigate easily. This museum is not overly large [compared to some big city locations; i.e. MOMA, the Tate or the Chicago Institute] A nice bonus is... 更多
The IMA boasts 3 floors of art that holds something for everyone. As a free museum, I enjoy going there every few months and always find something new and interesting to see. If it's nice out, the garden areas make for great walking and a perfect afternoon. The rotating exhibits are usually something unique/something you would actually want to pay... 更多
The "Dream Cars" exhibit is absolutely beautiful and technically stunning. This will only be in place until late August - and is very much a MUST see! We also used the IMA Cafe - what a wonderful setting! Go outside on a pretty day, or have a "picnic" along the glass wall to simply feel outside - and the food... 更多
Imagine my surprise when I, a member, rode my bike to the museum to purchase movie passes for the summer and was able to enter but they would not allow me to leave by the same route. Their new fee process is confusing to them as I was allowed entrance but they would not allow me access to the garden... 更多
The Indy is located on an old estate ... its a lovely, albeit small collection but balanced and stimulating. The outdoor gardens are beautifully kept and various sculptures are located throughout. The indoor facility shows the collection nicely. Its a wonderful place to spend a day. An Indy destination if you will.
Loved taking a picture of me and my love in front of the LOVE sculpture. It was a quick visit but we enjoyed everything we saw.
My 15 year old daughter and I needed to kill time and thought we'd check out the IMA last Friday. I am so glad we did! We are from the Chicago area an are lucky to have so many wonderful museums near by, so we weren't expecting to be too impressed by this one. To our shock and delight though..it... 更多
Drove through the grounds and walked around a bit to look at some of the art in the yard. I loved it. And would definitely come back to see more when I have more time!
Anyone who would expect a Louvre, or Metropolitan Museum of Art might not find this museum to be of great interest, but as a regional museum it has a lot to offer. The museum has several El Greco's, a Michelangelo, several Picasso's, etc. It also has a very fine exhibit of contemporary art. The collections are well organized, and the... 更多
We've lived in a lot of cities and have been to our share of art museums. This is a great museum for a city of this size and we are so pleased with our membership. I would encourage anyone from out of town to visit this treasure with friendly staff, terrific pieces, and easy parking...at a reasonable price, too. I... 更多
The city of Indianapolis has a dry yet sad vibe to it. The city is very ratchet with barely anything amazing going on. I was DEFINTELY NOT impressed. I do not want to come back ever again. However, some of the people seemed polite and decent.
