The Monon trail is a great place to experience nature without leaving the city. Also a great place to walk in the shade if you walk certain sections, which is great when the weather is too hot.
Awesome trail for bike riding, walking or running. Lots of restaurants right off the trail in certain areas such as Downtown Carmel and Broadripple. Family friendly
We rode this trail north for about 30 minutes from main downtown spot access in Carmel. The trail is wide enough for all sort of traveler. We used mountain bikes but I also saw road bikers. I love that I live so close to the Monon trail. I can ride my bike for miles and feel great and safe going through the city and ending up in a different place. It's easy access for those that want to travel and get exercise at the same time. Love it!
"The Monon" is well-maintained throughout the year and connects easily to the town of Westfield to the north and Indianapolis to the South. Great access to restaurants, The Palladium and shops in downtown Carmel. Dog friendly! The paved loop trails around Central Park are scenic and connect to neighborhood sidewalks plus playground, pool and the Monon Center. Mornings and evenings... 更多
We recently walked the trail for an hour or so after dinner at Bub’s Burgers in downtown Carmel. I’m sure we will return soon for more exploring. One main attraction for the trail at this point is its proximity to the shops and restaurants in Carmel. We walked south from Main St. down past the Palladium to Gradle Drive where... 更多
We live within walking distance of the Monon Trail and use it frequently. The Monon Trail is named for a railroad that serviced Indianapolis and Chicago with stops in between. The line has now been converted into a beautiful pedestrian pathway that connects Indianapolis to Westfield Indiana. The path includes tours through Martindale's Hillside Neighborhood, King Park, Mapleton-Fall Creek, Meridian-Kessler,... 更多
