My husband and I love the Indiana Memorial Museum. We can spend hours there looking at all the wonderful exhibits whenever we are in town. The permanent collection of Medieval to Contemporary is small but with great examples of the various periods. Small is good, because you can focus on each object for some time without feeling overwhelmed, and wanting... 更多
A nice surprising trip my daughter and I made while I lived in Bloomington was to the IU Art Museum. I can't recall specific displays, but the building's architectural layout and presentation spaces were excellent, with plenty of room to walk from one exhibit to another. We did not get a chance to view any exhibits this time. If you have very limited time, at least go up the stairs, have a look around and come down. The stairs in themselves are a big part of the experience. Park at IMU or at the Fee Lane Garage.
Great selection of Art from Africa, South Pacific, Asia and the new world, a collection of Modern and traditional art. Worth a stop and it is free, beautiful building on Indiana University campus.
This is such a wonderful art museum for its size and location. Everything from Picasso to ancient Greek to African art. It is a wonderful wonderful museum. Building is an I. M. Pei
A stunning number of art object. 1400 which are only 2% of the total owned by the Art Museum. The display includes Monet, Pollock, and Picasso.
A surprisingly expansive presentation of items covering a wide range of eras. And, unlike many art museums, there were no restrictions on photography!
Stop by the Indiana University Art Museum for a great collection in a perfect historical chronology. It's exhibits are manageable and well thought out.
