Atheist here, but a lover of temples and religious architecture. This temple is Ah-mazing. Just barely north of Chicago and the only one of its kind on North America, it is a must see. The acoustics for the choral ceremony are amazing and the space is decidedly uplifting. Open to the public daily, all are welcome.
This amazing place is one of the 7 Temples for North America. I have never seen a building where the concrete is similar to lace. The door are open to everyone. The new welcome and information center is a wonderful source of information for people of all ages. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the experience. The gorgeous gardens and... 更多
This temple is very much different to others I had seen before. I never heard of that kind of temples until that day and I found it quite interesting. Es un templo completamente diferente a los que había visto anteriormente. No había escuchado nada de esos templos antes de ese día y me pareció bastante interesante.
A nice and beautiful temple. You feel in peace there. Because I'm not a religious kind of person I didn't know and realized that there was a temple and a religion that concentrate congregated and opened to all religions. A place to visit for an hour.
Stunningly beautiful building, architectural wonder, and iconic for the northern suburbs. There are only 7 Bahai Temples in the world, and the religious information is offered through their educational center. Visitors can find out as much as they want, or as little as they want, about the religion. Beautiful garden and surroundings.

Inside, in the auditorium, you cannot speak or take pictures, and it was great to sit quietly and look at the inscriptions and just soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

It takes about an hour from the Loop and brings you to the Linden Square business district. There are a couple of places to eat (JP's pizza and the small but mighty Alchemy Coffee House) and it's... 更多
