Vendors are friendly, over time they feel like old friends! What a great way to buy produce, bakery goods, flowers, cheese, coffee and even jewelry- you can't miss this!!
The French Market in Wheaton offers so many different vendors, some of whom have been at the market for many years. Everything from fresh produce, organic products, jewelry and gift items, baked breads and treats, fresh cut flowers and garden plants -- there is something for everyone. It's an energizing atmosphere, reminiscent of the open markets in Paris...sometimes even with... 更多
Great selection of vendors. Plants and vegetables, bakeries, food, health, jewelry, a bit of everything. Gets crowded if the weather is good. I have been told that it is the most popular market around. It's the nicest one I have seen in this area.
Large variety of vendors, farmers, gardeners, bakers and crafters. Reasonable prices on most items. Lots of food choices so you can eat your way from one end to the other. Gets busy later in the day so hit it early for the best selection and easier getting around.
Nice variety of vendors (fruits & veggies, flowers, crafts etc.) It can get pretty crowded and some things can be a little expensive, but we enjoy visiting a few times over the summer.
My family visits the French market almost every weekend in the summer. As for the fall it depends on the temperature. There are a lot of different booths full of different local produce and fresh cut flowers. Parking can be a little tricky so I suggest parking a block away and walking to the market.
We were staying in Bloomingdale, about 15 minutes away and I arrived at the market around 8:30 on Saturday. Easily found parking and got right to it. It was just HORRIBLE that I was in town until Thursday so I couldn't buy any of the totally beautiful produce! I mean, fresh, gorgeous fruits, veggies, herbs. I was just sick that... 更多
Doesn't take a great deal of time to make it throught the market, but they have everything from the best pickles ever, That Pickle Guy, to fresh breads and veggies. My wife and I make it to the market about every other week, unless we run out of something we have to have. The local foods are well worth the... 更多
I love the vendors at the French Market, however going down that middle aisle at 10am can be a chore. Particularly if parents bring a stroller (or heaven help me, a double stroller). The city really needs to find a way to expand the venue.
Wheaton's market is great- I think the best in the suburbs. There is a good amount of variety. I love the fresh bread and produce. My favorite stand is Rustic Roads Farm, becuase it is untreated, seasonal produce and eggs from Elburn. Some of the other farms I am not so sure about and they are VERY overpriced, but they... 更多
