We stopped by here on our way out of town. Was a little before official opening but we were allowed to enter. Lots of fun scouting memorabilia and information. If you are into scouting it is great! This is an excellent museum. A great source for scouting and local history. There are some displays that are seasonal. It's a little hard to find if you're not from town. Periodically, they hold craft days for kids (build a birdhouse, etc)
Having been in CUBS, BOYS, & EXPLORER scouting, I found this place to be an EXCEPTIONAL visit. There may be other SCOUTING historical COLLECTIONS, but I had never seen a collection like this. The curators have done a great job of displaying the collections appropriately.
A small, but comprehensive museum. This is a must-see for any one who was a Scout,or Campfire girl . Our guide gave us personal tour and was very informative. Also,be sure to see Norman Rockwell's prints of Boy Scouts before you leave. AMERICANA at its best!
