OK, I live in the historic district of Naperville. I hope that doesn't disqualify me as I toot my own horn. I live in 5th Ave Station, a former furniture factory converted into a business mall and apartment complex. The building parallels the Metro tracks and is reputed to be haunted from a terrible train accident in the nineteen forties.... 更多
JMJ I hardly ever get to go to Naperville and had to go for a family funeral. There were so many great parks, stores, historical buildings, and more to see. Hope to go back for one of their many festivals and events!
The historic district is between the downtown and the college. The old homes are very interesting to look at and while the downtown can get crazy, this area is very quiet and peaceful. Well worth taking a walk thru and enjoying the sights. The college has some interesting buildings to look at as well.
Great place to explore shopping, dining, and good ole family fun.... Just hanging out and enjoying the weather.... Be sure to indulge into the Candy Store... For everything sweet...
Pedestrian and family friendly historic district. A lot of history around. Very safe area and free parking in downtown!
I've lived in Naperville's historic district for more than 20 years, and would not want to live anywhere else. Easy access to Chicago by train or expressway. Many restaurants of every type and variety. Interesting shopping. Make sure you take a walk on the Riverwalk.
Naperville has done a nice job of retaining and restoring its old downtown section. We had no idea that it was established as a city a few years b4 Chicago. We enjoyed walking up and down the streets looking at the various stores.
Great place to take the kids for a history lesson. The Fort has been turned into a kids playground. Sometimes they have a working blacksmith shop which is AWESOME!!
A very nice walk through historic Naperville. The buildings are quite interesting and beautiful with a wonderful college campus ( North Central College ). Close by are great restaurants and the famous Riverwalk.
My wife and I enjoy our trips to Naperville. It is a very enjoyable place to walk, shop and eat. There always seems to be something of interest to see and do.
