We're lucky to live not to far from Stockgrove so we have the chance to go there quite often. It's nice woodland and when you get to the visitor centre there's play area for kids and toddlers. Love that they spread interesting things around for kids to discover.
There are some nice woodland walks but the facilities are much more basic than at the main Rushmere site (this also extends to the limited signposting to Stockgrove). We came on to Stockgrove as the cafe at Rushmere was closed (temporarily). The cafe at Stockgrove is very basic with a poor level of hygiene (dirty glasses and cutlery for customers)... 更多
A walk in the country is always nice especially away from cars. This small country park is pleasant enough but too many dog walkers when we were there.
There is an argument that to keep things as natural as possible where parks are concerned but that sometimes draws close to unkempt and overgrown and possibly stagnant. This is a great place to relax with the family and if you're a dog owner they'll be in their element too. You can walk all around the park (very big) or just relax by the cafe. Would recommend to anyone who likes getting out in the country.
Well cared for country park with lots of interesting walks. Two cafes serving reasonable refreshments. Website information could be improved - difficult to find good maps of the park. Will definitely visit again.
Great for walkers play area for young children Fench in no dogs allowed in this area which is great just opposite a cafe very good price well for the park must have a coffee just the best
