A beautiful facility, nicely maintained with a wide variety of performances. While view lines are good, seat rows are tight for those with longer legs. Still for central Illinois, a great location to see a show.
Went to see an old Cary Grant movie here this summer, and it was such an enjoyable experience. Honestly, it turned out to be the highlight of my family's stay in Champaign-Urbana. Such a beautiful theater with tons of amazing offerings throughout the year. You must check it out if you're in the area.
The Virginia is a beautiful historic theater with a ton of different programming throughout the year. Movies to musicals to comedy and more, for all ages. We always have a fun time!
This is one Champaign-Urbana's jewels! This theater has been restored and still has the unique character and beautiful architecture. The seats are roomy and comfortable and there isn't a seat in the house that doesn't provide a great view of the stage. This is where the Roger Ebert Festival is held every Spring. It is in downtown Champaign, so offers... 更多
This splendid theater is a perfect place to see movies -- an enormous screen and absolutely top-notch projection and audio. Beautifully renovated to show off its grandeur, it is an ideal setting for its many special events, including Roger Ebert's Ebertfest.
The venue itself is located in the heart of downtown Champaign. It's easy to grab dinner before the show or drinks after. There is plenty of parking available via nearby meters and a parking garage down the street. The inside of the venue is very typical of an old Hollywood movie theater. If you arrive early enough you'll see lines... 更多
I've been to many events at the historic Virginia Theatre being local resident. I took my stepson to see Good Morning Vietnam at the Virginia for the annual Roger Ebert festival. The theatre is charming and comfortable, the screen and sound were outstanding, and my 17 yr old stepson and I throughly enjoyed the event.
I got a tour this morning and I just hope I can go for a movie before I go. Mitch showed us around and explained the history of every nook and cranny. Dave demonstrated the beautiful organ and gave us a mini concert
The theatre has been beautifully restored, but if you are a larger person- only take aisle seats. My husband and the other man seated near us were miserable. They vowed never to return. Also, there are only 2 bathrooms and the lines were very loooong. On the good side, the acoustics are fantastic, the lighting tech crew deserves rave reviews,... 更多
Thank you so much for joining us at the Virginia and for your comments! We’re sorry, though, to hear about... 更多
