I hate to share this hidden gem. We are going back and that tells it all! The beach has so much sea glass and a white soft sandy beach. Hidden by lush palm tress. It feels like you own hidden paradise! crimms
I am fortunate enough to live where most people would vacation. Lower Bay in my view is the best beach on the island of Bequia. It is great for picnics or get food and drinks from De Reefe bar. There is a lovely place called Keegens which is a hotel and restaurant, stayed a couple of times, great atmosphere.
Had a relaxing afternoon here, swimming and chilling with family and friends, after an open back taxi tour of the island. The waters are not too deep and it's very calm so suitable for non-swimmers.
This beach is frequently visited by both locals and foreign visitors. There is along shore that can accommodate many people on one day and you will still have your privacy. Bequia has many lovely beaches but this is possibly the most popular. Lovely white sand, blue water and palm trees. Paradise. A great place to spend the day but make sure you don't stay after sunset as we did as the bugs bite shockingly in the late afternoon! Get back to your hotel and hit the pool at sunset!
Our final stop was at Lower Bay which offered the inevitable Rum punch (or similar such refreshing drink) and the chance to walk on the beach and take a quick dip.
Oh my gosh, this place is BEAUTIFUL. It's a long strip of crystal clear, beautiful water. There are restaurants across the road some have areas to dine on the beach via a deck.
