The Arboretum is always beautiful. There are tons of different trees and flowers and it's a lot of fun to just go wander around. However, I wish I could take my dog walking through. But I understand. There are geese in the pond...
The Arboretum is a pleasant spot almost any time of the year. Can be spectacular in spring. There are geographic sections. Too much of the Arboretum is just garden center specimens or odd sports of standard plants.
Located right next to the U of I golf course on 63 acres, this is a place to enjoy whether you have a short time or all day. It was on a visit to the arboretun that we decided to plant scarlet oak trees for each of our grandchildren. We now have 4 scarlet oak trees in the front of drive.

A walk through the Arboretum was recommended to my wife and I by the owners of the Wylie Lauder House, a B&B within walking distance of UI. It was a great walk, with many trees and flowering plants to admire and take shade under. It was much bigger and better than we anticipated ... well-done to UI and the volunteers... 更多
This is a very peaceful place here in Moscow. ( no dogs are allowed.) It is extremely well maintained with beautiful plants and trees. We spotted a bunny among the quiet.
