This trail starts at Higgins Point. My son and I rode it from that point into downtown and back. There is one major hill that my at-the-time 6-year-old had to walk up, but other than that, he did a great job on the 15-mile trip!

We rode the trail through town from Blackwell Island, great signage, paved. My husband rode through and kept going out of town. Said it was a great trail with some nice views. Not hilly, paved and well thought out.
It was great to get on our bikes and travel this easy path along the lake. We passed by cute neighborhoods, sculptures and the lovely water. Definitely worth the time.
When you want to view nature, and relieve stress, this is a great trail to stroll along on. it goes for several miles in either direction around the lake and out along the Spokane River. We took this bike trail after biking the Trail of the Coeur D'Alene two days prior. We wanted something close to town and this was the ticket. We left from the park by downtown Coeur D'Alene and headed towards the Riverfront park, beautiful place. Then headed off from this trail towards the Prairie Trail.
