It was a hot day so my teenage daughter and I wanted to cool off. You have to pay $5 to park, then pay for rental tubes etc. I recommend life vests for those who don't swim so well as the current is pretty swift. Now you may want to save some money and forego the paddles but I HIGHLY... 更多
From my teen years until now (almost 60) I have floated the river whenever we have visited Boise. It is easy for visitors to do, just head on up to Barber Park and they will take care of the rest. Parking is 5-6 dollars and then head to gear rental where you can rent a tube or small raft. Make... 更多
I try to float the Boise river from Barber Park at least once a year. It has become a tradition. It provides a wide variety of water for the inexperienced floater to well just the average floater that wants to have a relaxing time. Be sure to wear a life jacket if you are not a good swimmer as there... 更多
We were sad that the river was basically closed due to the fullness and speed of it so we didn't get to get in and raft down but the park is s clean....nice bathrooms and they offer shuttles back if you raft down. Really cheap as well.
This has historically been the best place to start a float of the Boise River. However, the crowds can be huge. If you decide to float the river, bring your boat / tubes already inflated, or rent a raft from the park (the rafts are excellent, and relatively cheap).
We visited Barber Park for our dear friend's son's wedding. It is a beautiful location and a wonderful venue. The outside setting for a wedding is perfect. We enjoyed the wedding reception inside with spacious accomodations. It is user friendly for set up and the kitchen facilities were great. We had a wonderful time celebrating. The views surrounding us were... 更多
Fun and often challenging river rafting begins here. Rent your tubes or rafts here (come early to assure getting your float device and life jackets, as it's first come, first served). Float the Boise River for up to 2 and 1/2 hours. Check online hours of operation. There are two small waterfalls that you'll go over, so be prepared. Floaters... 更多
I still can't believe how much cool stuff there is in this town. Great place to launch your float down the river. You can rent or bring your own raft. Catch a bus at Ann Morrison and launch from Barber. Really terrific facility and nicely run. Good spot to take a break if biking.
We can't even count how many times we have floated the Boise River. The starting point is always Barber Park. Usually we take vehicles that drop us off and then meet us at the pickup point in Ann Morrison Park. It takes several hours to float the River and it is very scenic and very refreshing on a hot summer... 更多
