My daughter loved seeing all the different animals. It seemed like some of the attractions aren't available because of construction right now. Other than that, we have spent a good couple hours here. My daughter loved feeding the giraffes and goats. There's quit a few animals available throughout the day that you can feed too!
Second time back at this zoo. The zoo is easy to walk. Some of the exhibits are a bit cramped for particular animals. We were told by zoo workers last time (2 years ago) that the monkey cages (concrete with iron bars) were the next thing to be improved on....but saw no changes. The penguin exhibit was shut down and... 更多
Though not as extensive as Hoggle in SLC this is a pretty good zoo for Boise. Clean, animals seem well taken care of and you get to be close to them rather than seen from far away like at some larger zoos
Took the grandkids to the zoo. Not a large zoo but fun for the kids. They enjoyed the giraffes and monkeys. The highlight was the male lion roaring repeatedly at the two lionesses. It was quite a sight to see and hear. he finally calmed down but they were very active which I have not seen at others zoos. It... 更多
We went to the zoo with our grandson and it was great for a 3-year old. The zoo is very small but is the perfect size for a small child. The weather was cool so the animals were out and about. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and interactive. I would definitely go again.
Great facility and animals are well taken care of. Location is great along the banks of the Boise River, walking distance from downtown Boise. Don't miss this "Gem" while visiting the city of trees!
The animals looked well fed. The prairie dogs looked as if they couldn't get much bigger before they popped. I didn't expect the zoo in Boise to be as nice as it was. We lucked out and got a really nice sunny day at the beginning of April. The parking for the zoo is the same as the parking for... 更多
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Boise Zoo was as comprehensive and fantastic as it was. I guess being Boise Idaho I didn't expect much, and was I wrong! We had a great time and the exhibits are AZA standards, very important to me as I won't visit anything that doesn't have those standards. The Tigers are a... 更多
I was pleasantly surprised with Zoo Boise. Given its size, I didn't think it'd be very fun, but I was wrong! They have a nice variety of animals, and seem to actually take the care of their animals serious. You can see the animals up close which is very cool, and they are very informative with their enclosures.
Typical mid size zoo. Not much of a fan... I am the "SEEN ONE, SEEN THEM ALL" type of guy. But, what Zoo Boise did provide was a great outing for my granddaughter and I as we experimented with her new SLR camera. Photographing animals in a multitude of environments was a great learning experience for her. So, the admission... 更多
My experience has been with larger zoos, including San Diego and Brookfield; visitors are often somewhat distanced from the animals. At ZooBoise I was amazed that I could stand at a window and a large lion could run straight at me (where else can you experience that) and brush up against the glass--we were about 3 inches apart. Face to... 更多
Zoo Boise is a fairly fun zoo in my opinion. There are a lot of attractions and it can take a good part of an afternoon to get around to see everything. The gift shop has a lot of fun toys, but watch out they are spendy!
We loved those crazy and wild Mangabey Monkeys! Never seen anything like them. They were a riot to watch them run, cartwheel, somersault and do sliding dives all around their pen. The juvenile and baby were hysterical to watch. We enjoyed nearly all the animal exhibits as they were awake, up and about and viewable. With many zoos, the animals... 更多
