I've lived in the area for over 30 years, and I have always enjoyed coming to the Square. Several stores that are reasonable and practical, as well as shops for antique shoppers, foodies, families, photographers, theater goers, concert goers, etc. There really is a lot here for everyone. The Strand Theater re-opened a few years ago, after being dormant for... 更多
Marietta Square is a great place to spend a random afternoon strolling in and out of the mixture of eclectic shops and enjoying a meal in one of several restaurants of different genres (Indian, German/Bavarian, a Latin/Asian fusion, upscale 'pub' food, traditional Australian fare -w/a large selection of imported Aussie & South African food, Thai, a deli-style sandwich shop serving... 更多
Even during the day when the Court House is active and the parking is tough, the Square is still a nice walk. There are a growing number of cute clothes and gift stores like Dakotas and Doodlebugz! The restaurant scene has really taken off. From Kioscos, to Tiny Bubbles, Tsunami, Thaicoons and even the upscale The Butcher, The Baker, there... 更多
First, Sugar Plum Visions with the Put A Fork In It Desserts, they are YUMMY! Do yourself a favor and try one of the traditional combination cake and buttercream icing OR try what I call the "exotic" flavors. Also, Jamie and John are exceptionally personable and will make you feel right at home. Oh, did I forget to mention the... 更多
Nice treed park with walkways and benches. I experienced it at Christmas time and the skating rink was a great addition for locals that would never get to experience the winters like New England or Canada. Shops galore to walk in and experience with everything you can imagine pretty much available and alot you would never think of but like... 更多
Marietta Square has been a favorite dining, shopping, theatre, entertainment and family outing since I moved here 30 years ago. Although it has changed considerably over the years it remains a favorite spot. In addition to the above activities it is also a relaxing town square to kick back and relax. A few places are dog friendly while dining al fresco. It is... 更多
Very interesting, quaint and peaceful place to spend a Saturday, good places to eat, lots of history and adequate parking. There are a few theaters, I saw a family play here a few years ago, it was the only play I have ever enjoyed,
It's a lovely place to sit or stroll and enjoy the park with shops and restaurants nearby. During the summer there's a wonderful Open Air Concert Series and the Farmers Market every Saturday morning has a little bit of everything for everyone. When we visited in December, we skated on the little ice rink set up.
Lots to do....Strand Theatre for great movies, pre-show organ playing and sing-alongs; great restaurants surrounding the square and during the summer months, great concerts to enjoy with family and friends!
