Love the square! It offers all kinds of restaurants and entertainment. The festivals and music on the square is free and plenty of things for a family or singles to enjoy! The boutiques and antique stores are great to browse and shop without worry and in a charming setting.
I used to travel extensively in central Indiana. Every quaint small town had a town square (usually restored to their best ante-bellum look). Those LOOKED like mid-1800s, but felt modern. The store owners weren't interested in simulating those days. Marietta, has a square with all the old functions (Theater, court house, police offices, etc.), but the buildings are new. The... 更多
Nice town square to walk around or just sit on a park bench. Go there sometimes on Saturday or Sunday morning and read the newspaper with a cup of hot tea. Marietta offers a great Concert in the Park series with various genres of music to please everyone. Some good restaurants, all with sidewalk seating under huge oak trees.
The park in the middle is wonderful all year long. My wife and I love to walk around the square, grab a bite to eat at any of the great restaurants and just enjoy the atmosphere.
The Marietta Square offers lots of choices from the park with play area in the center to the many excellent restaurants and shops surrounding the square. Special events are held frequently including a farmers market on Saturday mornings.
Summer is best, ice cream in the park, but there are restaurants and shops of all kinds all year around to spark any interest, from theaters to tattoo shops, clothing stores to antique shops. If you are nearby, don't miss it. FYI, Saturday morning is the farmers market.
Marietta Square looks like a classic Southern square, but its eclectic mix of shops and restaurants is anything but Mayberry. You can stroll through the lovely green space with a gazebo and a fountain, then explore the museums, shops and restaurants. We used to enjoy seeing a play at Theatre In The Square and continue to experience intimate concerts and... 更多
We went to see "It's a Wonderful Life" at the Strand Theater during the month of December, then took pics at on the Square. It was a brisk night. The Square is a wonderful place to visit any time of year, but Christmas it's especially beautiful! We love the modern twist combined with lots of nostalgia. Go, you won't be... 更多
We love this park. Have visited often for concerts, zombie walk, dog walks, geocaching, Pokemon and kid play outings The train is not to be missed - kids can climb all over and it's tiny but authentic.
