Once we finally arrived, we were shocked at the amount of graffiti on the bridge. What was worse, there was a family looking for their signage from a previous visit. Although I'm sure it was pristine at one time, I'm also sure it was magnificent in its original state. Lovely brook ran underneath it.
I was very disappointed that this landmark has been vandalized with graffiti so badly. It was still worth the short drive out to see it. The stream is very peaceful. The entire inside is covered with graffiti, so I could only get good pictures of the outside.
This is.... Rather was a beautiful bridge that has been disfigured by graffiti. The camera surveillance apparently went up way too late. There is an historical marker which tells the bridge history. Stepping inside you sense the age of the wood and notice the handmade nails in the floor boards. If you can stop being so distracted by the graffiti... 更多
Nothing extravagant but a cute little spot toenjoy some history. Enjoy! We took some pictures crossed the bridge and read up on the bridges history.worth the drive to see.
I love this place. It's a great little watering hole to go swimming in on hot days. Hate that people vandalized the bridge tho. One of my favorite childhood memories.
Very quaint little covered bridge - great for photos! The river was beautiful too! My thoughts were that it needed widows on each side to look out at the river. :)
This is a nice covered bridge. I was very dismayed with the amount of vandalism. I would love to see the Parks Department (or whoever maintains the grounds) paint or pressure wash, so the bridge would be more like its natural appearance was intended. Repair to the broken cement table would be nice, too.
