The Chattahoochee National Forest is a treasure and offers an incredible variety of day-hikes and lengthier trails for the adventurous. Some of my favorite hikes in the Clayton area include the Holcomb Creek Trail, the Three Forks Trail and the Panther Creek Trails. The roads wind up and down the mountains with breathtaking views. We were there a week and seen 17 waterfalls and did not see half. There are... 更多
Gorgeous! Stunning Views. Scenic Drives. Hundreds of Hiking Trails. Historic sights. Part of the AT. Abundance of Waterfalls and Streams. No bugs in April!!

The only downside was that the visitor centre was just a shop and I could have killed for a nice cup of coffee and something to eat after my hike - trail snacks are not that satisfying :) But Clayton is only down... 更多
Black Rock Mtn.State Park was a pleasantly unexpected beautiful Park. Several views are handicap/wheelchair accessible which is rather rare. You can drive to the top with a panoramic view of GA and SC mtns. from the parking lot or visitor center. There are one or two overlooks that can also be reached by wheelchair. Fantastic- recommended for wheelchair bound.
Leaves are at peak and many colors abound in the forest. What an amazing drive to see all the natural wonders of creeks, bridges, gaps, animals and trees at peak.
