I bet this fall is so pretty in non-draught conditions. We are very short on rainfall in the South this year so the water wasn't plentiful, but it was still very pretty. It was a nice way to work of the apple fritter we got at Mercier's.
Went on a weekday so it wasn't very crowded. Nice tail not to steep. Going through a drought s it was flowing but not what I expected. We plan on going back when the drought is over.
The road to Falls Branch Falls gets very narrow and winds around and around, ending up with a gravel road for a short time. There are NO signs visible from the road where the trailhead is. The sign is probably 20 yards off the road in the path into the woods where it is dark. Going toward the falls on... 更多
The walk to the falls was pretty quick in comparison to nearby hikes. My wife and I went during drought conditions so the waterfall was a bit low, though still scenic. The forest around the falls were changing colors at the time and it made for a beautiful hike and some great photo opportunities. It did take some time to... 更多
This waterfall was easy to find and a fairly easy hike uphill. We had to ditch our stroller about halfway up due to the path being uneven, but it was a mildly strenuous uphill hike alongside a nice creek. There is not a lot of water coming from the falls but it was pretty nonetheless. We had 3 six year... 更多
Had hoped for something a bit more challenging, but it was a pretty easy 15 minute uphill walk from the gravel parking lot to the falls. I think recent drought must be affecting it because there wasn't much water in the falls. There is a nice platform to view the falls... which would have been nice for a photo op... 更多
Nice walk to the falls. Easy hike with some up climb. Not much water from the falls but ot hasnt rained much so that could be the cause. Has a nice seating area for observation. Dogs welcome. At the beginning of the trail was a notebook you could write your name and where you are from. Pretty cool to see... 更多
The walk to the Falls is probably a quarter of a mile. Downhill to reach it. Some "steps" with railroad ties and dirt. I think it is worth the short walk. There are pretty rocks to stand on at first falls and a wooden observation deck at base of second fall. People were in the water at the second falls.... 更多
