This is an amazing recreational area. The museum has many artifacts excavated from the mounds Areas for picnics and stairs up the mounds so that you are able to climb to the top and a great view of the surrounding community. Great for children teens and adults Church groups. School groups.
Wonderful small museum with a great collection of exhibits bringing to life Native American life in the area half a century ago. The movie is a must watch, it visualises what the place looked like! Important since the site itself does not offer a lot to see, buildings and huts have long gone. A stroll along the river however is... 更多
We enjoyed our visit to this place while my family was visiting from out of town. It's a great place when the weather is nice. I think on a rainy day you'd miss a lot. The mounds are fun to climb and get a nice view of the water and the land. Very pretty if you can climb a lot... 更多

It protects six earthen mounds, a plaza, village site, borrow pits and defensive ditch and is the most intact Mississippian Culture site in... 更多
I had a little time to kill up in the area so decided to find the Etowah Indian Mounds. It was a beautiful fall day so a stop by the site on the Etowah River was delightful. It is easy to see why they chose this location. Nice museum with a short film worth watching. Well done.

This was a very interesting tour, it helped to learn how the native americans lived before the arrival of Europeans. If possible try to go on a guided tour as the guides are very knowledgeable about the site and the way it was settled. This does include alot of walking and some climbing.
Went with some family and have not been since I was 8 years old on a school field trip. Was alot of walking and climbing if you are up for it,but definitely worth coming! They have a 10 minute video inside and some artifacts with a scale model of the mounds and how the it would have looked like that... 更多
Visited this park while in the area with family. A serene spot tucked away at the end of a business park bordering an industrial area. Nice playground for kids, walking/running trail, bridge crossing a river and a covered area that looks like it would be great for outdoor show.
