This was a nice place for an afternoon stroll. The trees provided ample shades for a leisurely walk along the trails. If you are looking for pure nature within short distance from the city, this is the place to go.
The map that is provided does not let you know that you cannot complete some of the trails due to construction. We did a lot of back tracking to complete our walk and we couldn't find the butterfly gardens. The orchid house was lovely and the curator was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Mead Gardens are a Botanical Garden set in the natural surrounds of undeveloped land. It combines local and exotic plants and flowers with the natural setting. A brook runs through the park and there are hiking trails. A perfect place to see what Central Florida once looked like before it was heavily developed. A great place for a quiet morning... 更多
This is just a park with some flowers and trees at the entrance, The butterfly garden really needs some love and attention as it was overgrown and had little flowering plants. We went for a walk on the boardwalk which is starting to decay. There are places where they just rerouted the trail because the wood path had caved in.... 更多
