We visited BCH yesterday afternoon. They have limited hours so we were able to arrange a short visit. It is good to see the big cats up close and I really believe that this was the first time that I have ever seen a Liger. The enclosures were mostly cages with limited landscaping but the animals did appear to be... 更多
Took our 4 year old nieces to visit At first , I looked around and felt bad for the animals. We had a chance to walk around visit the whole park and watch two different shows that were awesome. Also learned about what their mission is and how they rescued animals and how they educate the public about animals. These... 更多
We went there for the first time a couple days ago. We really enjoyed it. There is a petting zoo for the little ones with Pygmy goats, chickens, etc. They have a few birds, llamas, primates, camels, a zebra, buffalo & some gators..but the big attraction is, of course, the lions, tigers & bears. It's was really neat to see... 更多
What a great place! They are a non profit that gives sanctuary to all kinds of animals, most being large cats (50+). The shows are a must! At the shows they tell you the history of the place along with seeing the animals perform. The place is not huge, but you get to see many animals up close. For a... 更多
This habitat takes in animals no one wants, or can handle anymore. People can buy an exotic animal, but in a few months, they no longer want it. This place is non-profit and educational. These animals cannot be released into the wild since they have never been in the wild and would not have survival skills. The Rossier family does... 更多
Friend of ours recommended this place while we were in Sarasota, knowing we're lovers of the big cats. We went, caught the show then walked around to see the animals. The show was done by the son of the owner lady. He and the big cats - chimpanzee, ligers, lion, etc. - did a great job. It was great for... 更多
had family visiting from New York. Weather wasnt great for the beach so we took a trip tot he Big Cat Habitat. Very impressed with the work these people do and the quality of life for these cats. Will visit again.
The big cats were the main attraction for us. Seeing and hearing about the Liger was fascinating. There were a large variety of tigers, some lions, bobcats, cougars. Love watching the bears. There were goats and birds and all kinds of fun animals, birds, and reptiles.
Just got a chance to visit the Big Cat Habitat. It was a great afternoon! There are all kinds of animals, wild and not. There's a petting zoo and pony rides (sometimes) for the kids and many rescued animals. The animals were all born in captivity and not taken from the wild. The cats and bears are very large and... 更多
We had no idea what to expect at the Big Cat Habitat & Animal Sanctuary. We were met with cars everywhere and a long walk to the park. Thank goodness a man with a golf cart came along to offer a ride. There are so many lions, tigers, birds, monkeys, camels, etc. The show was very good. The owner/trainer has... 更多
