32 yr old mom of 2. I have always loved great explorations, I remember going almost every weekend as a kid when it was on 4th Street south. As a mom, I love taking my 2 because we all have fun together and it's a bit of nostalgia.
My six-year-old daughter had a great time, so I'm giving this place a high score. I, on the other hand, felt that it was dangerous. There were big kids running all around throwing things, cutting line, taking toys from younger kids, butting in to play areas, being holy terrors! Staff members were walking around picking things up and putting them... 更多
This is a very poorly planned and set up children's museum , loud and chaotic , the exhibits are all on top of one another. With all that being said I would still recommend it for families with young children who need a little break from the Florida sun
Wow, what a find. Thanks to TripAdvisor, we found out about this place and it was a huge success. Such a nice break from the pool and beach. Our kids were 7.5y & 5y Both loved it. We were there a good 3 hours but could have been longer. There's loads to discover - it's well worth it. Get there... 更多
This museum was a total free for all. Kids were running all over the place with no direction and seemingly no parents. The place was a mess. Every time we tried to use an exhibit, six unsupervised kids would run in and take over. They should limit the number of people allowed at a time.
Came here a couple days ago, as our first ever visit, and wow, it's amazing! So affordable and so many fun things for kids to see and do.....from the tunnel, to the race to find Paddington, to the hands on activities.....def'ly a must do for families!! There is an elevator and stairs to the only other floor (2nd floor), and... 更多
On our 4th day in St. Petersburg we'd hit or limit of sun. We needed something that would be out of the sun but fun! This was the prefect place. The Sunken Gardens and the Great Exploration (GE)were in the same location. In fact you can buy a combo deal. But the visit for the gardens and the GE. Suggest... 更多
This place is hidden inside a building that is also the gift shop for Sunken Gardens. I never knew it was here. The employees were nice enough to give me a tour of the inside and I must say I was pretty blown away at all the things they have! If I were a kid I'd be in heaven. There... 更多
When it's way too hot to play outside, this is a decent alternative. The pretend grocery store and vets office are cute for young kids. The noise level is sometimes wild but it is for kids.
