We (3 adults and 2 5 year olds) got here at 9 on a Saturday and had the place to ourselves (with maybe a dozen older folks getting their morning walk in). We strolled across the first bridge to the observation tower. On the way we saw the mama gator and her clutch and several of her young gators from... 更多
So you are in the city and you do not have time to travel south to the Everglades, but you would like to see a little bit of "natural Florida." Try out Sawgrass Lake Park. It is hidden in the back of one of St. Pete's neighborhoods, near the highway (I-275) and you would never know its there. It is... 更多
My sons love Sawgrass Lake. The boardwalk trails are an easy walk even for the smallest adventurers, and they are wide enough for strollers. Gator spotting is out favorite actively. We were lucky enough to get a glimpse of over a dozen new babies on our last visit. Sunscreen and insect repellent are a must.
This a great park to photograph and get a nice walk in at the same time. The boardwalk is great for individuals in a wheelchair to be able to see gators and other wild life.
Sawgrass is a nice park It can get a little busy depending on the time of day that you visit. If you want some quiet/alone time, it's probably better visit the park early morning during the week and avoid the weekends. The park is a good place to exercise, or just nature/people watch..If you're lucky, you might see gators, snakes... 更多

This is a great park to take people of all ages. It is an easy trail that goes along the water and into the woods. Alligators are seen (with babies at the right time of year) as well as turtles and other Florida animals and plants. A must for visitors.
Love taking family and friends to Sawgrass Lake Park. Lovely surroundings, lots of nature and wildlife. Depending on the season, many birds to see - and if you're lucky, some alligators!
We were fortunate to see a big mother alligator with her brood resting in the sun right below us on the boardwalk after just a short walk. They were 3 different sizes.
