We visit from Michigan every year ( last 8 years) and spend time walking through the many Pinellas County parks, with their expansive boardwalks and trails. This year we landed upon Sawgrass Lake after a suggestion by Weedon Island Preserve volunteers. (Weedon Island is worth a visit as well) A little over an hour was spent walking the grounds, but there... 更多

We brought our dogs, so we stayed off of the boardwalk, but there is a trail around the perimeter that was about a half mile one... 更多

There are usually alligators along the way - please ask other park goers their location... everyone shares. There is a nice pavillion where we have a picnic lunch during our visits. Although I am not a "birder," many at the park were. Go... 更多

A very nice place to take a walk through the wools and along the water, it's an elevated wood walkway. That way you are kept safe from the animals. Today we came across a large snapping turtle, a Black snake and... 更多
It was a beautiful Florida day, such a nice park to visit, we stayed on the very week constructed and maintained boardwalk and saw several alligators, a turtle and many different birds. Peaceful and enjoyable. It is not convenient to where I live, but if it were I would return and enjoy on a regular basis.
We came across this while exploring the St. Pete's Beach area. It was just what we were looking for. It was a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle. My 12 year old girl and 10 year old boy really enjoyed themselves. We like to go to nature parks and hiking at home so this was right up their... 更多
