If you were just to walk through this museum I am not sure you would have been very impressed but because their staff was so entertaining and educating it made this short visit memorable . Tells you the history of products produced and used in this area . Generally interesting but short .

The Oldest Store is a collection of items that were necessities at the turn of the century 1900's. Some are ingenuous and others appear to be quirky, but all of them are interesting.
Went with my grand kids and their parents. The tour guides, two, were informative and pleasant. The first one is a history major so it is right up his line. The items in the store were of an interest to all generations.
You take one step through a door and you leave 2016 behind. This was our first stop of our second day in the city. (The line was too long the first day). My two boys loved the front of the store. Hey Haddie!!!!! She is what made the tour spectacular. She had my boys shuck corn, turn a huge coffee wheel, and attempt to make butter. She was great. The back side of the tour was somewhat boring. That tour guide was ok, but Haddie up the difference.
This was a real delight. The guide who did the introduction was funny, entertaining and I wish it could have been a bit longer. As we made our way to the next area we found another treat. This guide was also a real find. A very informative and fun education to the Past.
