Washington Oaks State Park is just incredible! We have biked through many times and we are so thankful for this protected park in Palm Coast. To us having the mature Oaks and gorgeous nature is why we love Palm Coast so much! It separates the area from the more barren areas both North and South and shows how important it... 更多
Cruising down beach highway A1A, we spotted a sign for this state park and decided to check it out. For a $5.00 entrance fee we saw beauty we never expected in a formal garden with a stone waterway flowing throughout and towering live oak trees adding a canopy to our walk. A color brochure maps out the park and tells... 更多
This is a beautiful park with many, many huge live oaks, a beautiful rose garden, and an historical building that makes one wish they had lived here in the past to view the sun rise and set over the water and to enjoy the formal gardens and fountains. The numerous plantings are very pretty and there is a nice picnic... 更多
Great place to go and enjoy natural springs, gentle walkways and gardens. They have cleaned up the spring area and it really shines now. Beautiful large oak trees and a small rose garden. It is nice to go when they have a guided tour so you get the history of the place. There is a small house with the history... 更多
Nice clean restrooms. That is the nicest comment I have. Having a gift shop (I didn't enter) is not a plus for a "garden/nature" center. Many volunteers here and "park rangers" mingling around that really didn't know anything. A building they refer to as a "visitor center" is a small building with some photos. We talking with volunteers who had been... 更多
The trees, flowers and gardens are lovely, but paying $5/car for it seems too much. Also there's not THAT much to see. Anyhow, none of the trees or flowers are labeled, which is disappointing. It would be so much better if visitors knew the names. Still, it's worth a visit.
Spent an hour here and enjoyed walking the gardens. Can fish in the Matanzas river and they have BBQ pits. Would come back for a day in the future. Also crossed the A1A and enjoyed their beach. Only $5. Worth checking out!
If you love a beautiful garden this place is for you. There are azaleas, roses, gardenias, and so many that I am not aware of their names. Take a walk through the trails and see the native species.
This makes for a nice day trip - you can spend an hour or all day. It has a lovely garden with lots of water features, A place along the river for fishing and picnic tables for lunch. Across the A1a is more parking where you can enjoy the beach and explore the coquina rocks along the beach. Parkingis $5... 更多
