After a few busy days with children stop here for time out. Located on the Halifax River, there's a playground for the kids, a dock to fish from, a walk under the bridge to the Casements, where you can tour for free, History was made here. Find out by touring. If you are here for sunset, you may see dolphins... 更多
We followed the sidewalk along the intercostal that led us to this great little park. Our kids were thrilled to see the playground. We spent a good hour here. There were other children playing in the water and on the sandy beach here. It was towards sunset, it was very peaceful here and we enjoyed the scenery very much.
We stopped here for some family pictures. It's a small, well kept area. There is a small pier with a pavilion on the end, that gives a nice view of the water, and has people fishing off of. It is not a place I would spend hours at, but its worth stopping for the view.
Nice park to take a leisurely stroll along the water. Park also features a pier out to a gazebo that was being used to fish from and people just hanging out watching the water go by. Benches are provided and "clean-up stations" for the folks that like to take their dogs for a morning walk through the park. Located at... 更多
I go there daily to walk my dog as do many others. They have poop bags available. The toilets were being renivated to day but they thoughtfully had portopotties there. I noticed that workers frequently stop by to use the restrooms - very convenient for them. This is a lovely spot in our town.
There are a few people walking their dogs, kids biking, people walking...wonderful place to hang out. Very clean and safe park. Worth the trip
Fortunato Park is a 2.6 acre riverfront park located just east of the Granada Bridge. The park offers scenic views of the Halifax River and is also home to the Ormond Hotel Cupola which is a historic landmark. Paved walking trails surround the grounds and there is a playground for children. The park is open from 6 am to 10... 更多
I was here a few days ago but didn't realize it was a "separate" attraction available to be reviewed. We were looking at the nice homes built alongside John Anderson Drive and the historic houses just behind the area where The Hotel Ormond stood. We actually stopped here because parking was difficult alongside the road and sat for a while... 更多
Went there for a late supper, just before sundown. The place was immaculate. The picnic tables were placed in great spots. The restroom was clean and well-lit. Liked the benches facing the river. The traffic going over the bridge didn't intrude.
