Small state park in the Florida Panhandle. Only about 40 sites. All shaded, water and power. Well kept grounds and clean showers and bathrooms. A couple of coin laundry, also. 3 different hiking trails. All with fire pits. Only 1/2 mile to Publix or Winn Dixie. About a mile to Walmart. Lots of restaurants in the area. Go over the... 更多
We had the 2017 Presidents Day Boondoggle this past weekend at Fred Gannon park. The park was nice and bathrooms very clean (cleaned daily). All sites had water and electric, we were able to launch our kayaks right from the bank by the playground. There are also washing machines and dryers by the bathroom if you run out of clothes.... 更多
We live close to park and camp here a few times a year. But this was our first time with rv(vs tent) for $16/night, it's nice. We like the trails, playground and movie screen. But the sites are small with almost no extra parking for your guests. No WiFi, cable or sewer hook ups, but for $16/night it's not unheard... 更多
We visited the park with our small dog and loved it. It was so clean and well kept. It had plenty of picnic areas, a nice playground, clean restrooms, friendly staff and well kept and marked trails. The only reason I did not give it a perfect 5 star is the lack of parking near one of trail heads. It... 更多
Located on Rocky Bayou with well maintained campsites and facilities, you'd never know you were so close to the Destin beaches and other tourist attractions. This park also has canoe and kayak rentals for exploring the bayou. Whether from the water or the shore you might catch sight of dolphins frolicking or watch for any of the many birds and... 更多
The Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park is a Jewel in the Florida State Park System. I am not a camper, but their facilities look excellent. My primary use of the park is to launch my boat into Rocky Bayou and Choctawhatchee Bay. The ramp is well maintained and handles a large number of boats on a regular basis. Two... 更多
$5 to get in and you have access to hiking paths that are pet friendly and beautiful. The trails are well kept and run along the Rocky Bayou so you'll find yourself on the water in moments. Its a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.
We especially enjoy the Pioneer Day festival in the fall. The park is well maintained and they have picnic facilities and a small playground.
My friend and I just got back from a three night tent camping stay at Rocky Bayou. This park is very near the city of Niceville and traffic can occasionally be heard in the distance. The campsites are quite spacious and separated by log fencing. They are heavily graveled to support large mobile homes, so we borrowed the camp host's... 更多
