Get out the bug spray and explore some archeology. It was a $5 fee for the car to enter the park, but only a $1 on foot or bike. This is a worthwhile stop if you are interested in a part of Florida's history that has almost totally disappeared. The walk is easy and the informational signage is quite good. If you travel S. of NSB into the Federal sea shore area, a 30 min. Stop at this site is a must.
Truly amazing experience. Never knew anything like this existed. Nice to know the history as well. Definitely worth the visit especially with kids old enough to understand.
