The Donnelly House is named after the main developer of the city of Mt. Dora, and sits next to Donnelly Park in the middle of downtown. The Masons currently own the building and the Order of the Rainbow ( girl masons) do an annual dinner for Thanksgiving (or Christmas). If I remember correctly the architectural style is Queen Anne. Wonderful Queen Anne structure with all the Masonic symbols evident. Wish it was an open museum Right off the main drag.?the Masons still use it for meetings

This is a very charming home with history galore. Ask the locals about the Donnelly House and if you're a Mason or Eastern Star member visit on their meeting nights. They are the most friendly bunch!
This is one of the most beautiful and historical homes in Mt. Dora's district area. It is the home of the founder of Mt. Dora. It is now a lodge for the Mason, which I don't really care to much about or have anything in common with them. But! they keep it looking beautiful!
Mount Dora is a lovely, artistic town that embraces its history. Friendly businesses, Pisces Rising was a wonderful place for lunch. Donnelly House was ok but we couldn't see inside which was disappointing. Still a great day and interesting place to visit. Highly recommend especially for a music or art event.
This beautiful old charming house needs more love!! The history of this Masonic Lodge is quite interesting ; built in 1893 by J. Donnelly - who became the first Mayor of Mount Dora. There is nothing special in the inside - needs upkeep.
