Our group of 47 descended upon Henscratch Winery and they handled us with aplomb. We fed their chickens, rested on the fan cooled front porch, sampled their sweet wines, oogled their eggs, and chatted with these very friendly proprietors. All in all, you will probably enjoy this little country winery if you enjoy a country setting, nice shade trees, sweet... 更多
This trip was planned for the sole purpose of acclimating our 9 month old chocolate lab to traveling. My husband and I like to visit wineries, and on the way to the State Park, we found Henscratch!! The pup wasn't really interested in the wine tasting but she sure got a surprise none of us expected. She just stood and... 更多
Our friends asked us if we'd like to spend an afternoon at the winery listening to music. Of course we'd like to and that's just what we did. We tasted some wine. For all the advertising they do, you'd think that this is a bigger attraction. We stopped there to see what all the crowing was about (pun). A few products to sell to the tourists and some wine which was mostly mixed with Muscadine wine. At almost $25.00 a bottle, which one variety was, I'll get better stuff for much less.
I attended the wine stomp this year and it was a blast. Just recently I picked up the wine as well as shopped in the gift shop. There is plenty of jams, jellies, sauces, dressings, canned veggies and of course wine. They have a great selection, not cheap however the quality is there. In these cases I do not mind... 更多
We go to Henscratch every year for the Grape Stomp Festival as well as several times per year as we pass through Lake Placid. This year was a great year for the grapes. Their wines are the best. The jams and jellies are excellent. Feeding the chickens is always fun for the kids as well as ice cream.
