First time there,I expected a bit more. The beaches were fine, the rest rooms and changing areas were very clean. I was looking for more of a wild life, natural fauna and trails. What I did fine were careless visitors who could not be bothered to dispose of their trash. The people who work at the park are friendly helpful... 更多
Lovely place to walk; much of main path is paved (Dagny Johnson used a wheelchair). Good for birdwatching but it is thick jungle. Trees labeled which was great. I went in the rain and no one else was there. I think its used mostly by locals. Some trash near entry but overall good condition.
We visited there in January 2015. This was on my birthday. My husband likes to walk so I can enjoy fresh air. It is a quiet outdoor during winter. Nice weather.
This area was to be developed but that failed so now a state park. You can walk a 2 or 1 mile loop; so I do 3-4 miles. Otherwise not easy to walk in key largo. An honor fee of $2.50 gets you in. Not much to see but there is a pond in middle. Some plants and trees are... 更多
Really great walking trails. Super easy and suitable for all levels. Very informative about local plant life with a very interesting ecosystem. P.S. mosquitoes are prevalent, bring bug spray, but otherwise enjoy
This is basically a 45 minute to 90 minute circular walk through a 'hammock' during which you can see some nice birds, insects and lizard life. There is an eco-toilet and an honesty admission fee of $4. If it's rained a lot you won't be able to complete the full circuit unless you have wellies or are prepared for wet feet!
This was my second visit here, with birding as the primary activity. This park is a failed development with enough infrastructure in place to provide easy access to the large trees, mangroves and other habitats typical of the keys. White-crowned Pigeons and other south Florida specialties can be found here.
This was a nice walk through the trees. Unfortunately, I forgot to read some of the other reviews and we had to cut short the entire length due to mosquitoes. Quiet place for a gentle type of hike.
