For anyone that has any interest in aviation, military history, or a sense of patriotism. The AF Armament Museum is a must see. The number of military aircraft on display is very impressive. I especially enjoyed the P-47, P-51, SR-71, B-52, B-17, and the myriad jet fighters, bombers, helicopters, etc. Even the history of Eglin AFB in the inside theater... 更多
As a Retired Navy reservist and active in flight test of various aircraft, I really enjoyed all the static aircraft displays. Inside there is a ton of information about armament and the F-105 Thunderchief seems massive. The replica of the Fat Man nuclear bomb will grab your attention. There is enough to see to keep you busy for a few... 更多
Inside exhibits are outstanding. Static displays as well as film archives are available. Everything is in excellent condition. 2 trainer cockpits to get in. Great time or trip down memory lane....outside are impressive exhibits of air power and weaponry....truly a Gem!!
I really loved seeing this! Not just because my niece is in the Air Force but because I have always wanted to be in the Air Force. The area & the museum are such great adventures!
I've been to the Air Force Armament Museum many times. I have relatives all over the US, and when they come to visit, I do my best to try to take them here. It is a MUST SEE attraction if you are anywhere near this area. We all love the beaches, but as most know, Florida is not always the... 更多
We took a day off from the beach to go check this place out. Very interesting info. Lots of actual airplanes that were flown in all of the past wars. It's FREE! They do ask for a donation at the door. It's two stories of wonderful educational items.
I love this place. Run by a lot of volunteers. They are so welcoming, and very helpful We have been blessed to have a wonderful place close by, where we take friends and family when they visit. The volunteers make this place a+++ as well.l They have a lot to share. We had a memorial for Maj Harry c Johnson... 更多
Great place, especially for a warbird junkie like me. The museum concentrates on armaments (guns, missiles, and bombs), but has a nice collection of aircraft, with four inside the building, and many more outside. Inside, there is a P-47 Thunderbolt and a P-51 Mustang, both from WWII, along with an F-80 from the Korean War, and an F-105 Thunderstreak (Thud)... 更多
The kids really like to go and look at the jets, helicopter, and airplanes on the outside. The inside has a bunch of guns, pitchers and other things. We may go back next time but if I can talk the kids out of it I will.
Had a nice tour around the area. Liked both in and outside. Could have had a more up to date suvenirer shop and maybe a small cinema with an introduction for all of us with little or no background knowledge.
I always take my guest visitors to this place because it I so unique. The outside display of war planes and helicopters is very nicely done and the armament museum inside the building is also very good and there is no admission.
For the air enthusiast I think this would be awesome...just not what I expected. Was easy to find and the workers were helpful. It was neat to see the Blue Angels plane. My daughter rode on a airplane simulator and liked it.
Three generations of us visited this museum and really enjoyed our time there. The planes are amazing, as is the weapons vault. The exhibits are well laid out. There is a nice mix of hands-on things to do. A great tribute to our military's contributions in protecting our freedom!
We had a phenomenal afternoon at this place. The planes are all outside where you can walk up to them and touch them. All the info plaques give the particular aircrafts mission, as well as what the aircraft you see in front of you has done. My favorite was the SR71 as I have always been amazed at its capabilities... 更多
