You must be aware of the tide. There is really only a beach if the tide is out. It is worth working around the tide. The beach is safe and quite a ways through the mangroves so there is no chance of your dog getting out on the road. You must keep track of your dog. I know people who... 更多

Most dog owners wish they had access to more beach areas to allow their pups to frolic and swim. This area of Dog Beach is very small, and very crowded on weekends. The only designated area to "legally" allow your dog to enjoy some beach time for 50 miles in any direction. Some owners will just set up some chairs... 更多
Although it's a great idea not everybody cleans up after there dogs, besides that it's fun to watch the dogs play in the water. Gets really busy on weekends and no refreshments offered but it's free to get in

This beach is so great because you can enjoy the sun and water WITH your dog. The only negative is that there are some dogs who are aggressive towards people/dogs and should not be off leash. There is no way to regulate who comes and goes and who cleans up after their dog.
if ppl only got along off their leashes as well as the dogs do.........we have a 100# pit bull as gentle as can be got along with all the ankle biter lil dogs well also,,,,,,,,great place for dogs to enjoy water/sand/sun/association with other dogs.........
Wanna see an old dog run like a puppy? Ever seen a dog smile? Take em to the dog beach! Lots of fun for your furry friends. A bit of a heads up, avoid the weekends...can get crowded and some of the weekenders don't watch their untrained dogs. Go Monday through Thursday and you'll be fine.
We brought our 5 month puppy there for his first time in the gulf. He had a great time. Some dogs were off leash and other were leashed. I did not witness any aggressive dogs. The water was really warm. I think it is because the beach is in an estuary, so the water is very shallow.
