This was a pretty little street lined with palm trees and colorful streets. Then looking at the stores made you realize that they were mostly for Biker/Harley apparel or tattoos. sand nice and white, and clean, water wasn't murky...we really liked being there. There are small restaurants and shops along the area, also Joe's Crab Shack is a must to eat seafood.
On this street, the Chocolate factory is amazing... People out there is offering you chocolate delight and also propose you a visit of there factory. The chocolate is more than excellent. Try it, you'll be crazy !
We travel to Daytona a couple times a year (family nearby) and always walk Beach Street. It's a fun way to burn a few hours and the setting is very nice along the Halifax. Great if you like antiques. The candy shop on that street was awesome. Since I went during off season, I am not sure what to expect. It was quiet and a few shops and restuarants were open.
Beach Street runs from the Boardwalk at the beachside. There are several bars and restaurants. You must visit Boot Hill bar. It is actually across the street from and old cemetery called Boot Hill. During Bike Week this is the place to go to see the bands. Be forewarned ... it's busy!
The city has done a marvelous job of redecorating this area. The street is beautiful, the buildings are historic and the bike trail is amazing. But if I'm afraid to go there by myself, then the city failed its citizens. I went to ride down the bike trail and every ten feet was a bum trying to talk to me.... 更多
