The historic ballpark opened on June 4, 1914 as the Daytona City Island Ballpark. It consisted of a baseball field and set of wooden bleachers. In the 1920's, a road circling the ballpark was built to accommodate the growing number of spectators who were traveling to the ballpark by automobile. A grandstand with a press box was built behind home plate to replace the original wooden bleachers along with two additional covered sections of grandstands along the first base line. A bleacher section along the third base line was added shortly after the first renovation in the 1950's. The present day grandstand and press box were built in 1962. A home team clubhouse was constructed down the left field line in 1972 to accommodate the Montreal Expos. In 1973 left field bleachers, with a capacity of 2,500 seats, were installed. The park was renamed Jackie Robinson Ballpark in 1989 as the stadium served as host to the first racially integrated game in baseball history.

The Daytona Cubs played here for 22 years.

The 2015 season will be the first season with the Cincinnati Reds affiliation.

A team store is located in the ballpark during the season, in the off season, a satellite team store in located in the Daytona Tortugas front office at 110 E. Orange Ave. Directly south of the ballpark.

Like most minor league ballparks, this one catered to the kids in the stands. Lots of between inning activities where they'd bring a couple kids on to the field for races or a game. Smaller ballpark that could use more shade. We went on an all you can eat night and that was a great deal. All the pizza, hamburgers,... 更多

Husband and I were in town and always wanted to go to a ballgame here. We went on a Monday, so $12 bucks a person gets you all you can eat hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and popcorn! What a blast! Very affordable! Nice looking field! Staff was friendly! Can't beat $2 parking and lots of history! Loved it!

Fun evening out with the grandchildren. My grandson even got a foul ball which was a bonus for him! I don't think there could be a bad seat in the house.

We went for belly buster Monday. Had a great time! The food was amazing, hot dogs, pizza, burgers, and popcorn was all you can eat. The pizza was Papa John's and it was great. The stadium was clean and the bathroom s was clean as well. Parking was easy and cheap , price was 2.00 bucks. The beer was cold... 更多

Always a good time at the field. The food was on sale before the game started and drinks were off as well! They had the chickfila cow and tortugas turtle run the bases with a kid! The fireworks were a nice touch and it makes its so breezy being right by the river.

Spent a Lovely Sunday, at the park! Reasonably priced, Sr discounts too! $2.00 parking! Yes, it could use a facelift, BUT, ITS COMFY! $12.00 will get u a padded seat! Reasonable priced snack bar! Entertainment with fans, between the innings! Mascots roam the stands, AND they play BINGO!! P.A. System is not that great. But the home team went wild,... 更多

But what history! Brings back memories of days gone by. Great little (and I mean little) ballpark, but so steeped in history, you really should come visit, at least once.

The park is clean and intimate. You can order tickets on line, but I generally just walk up an hour before game time to get reserved seats. $12 for reserved seat. Good food outlets on the West side of the stadium. Most seats behind home plate are covered and comfortable. Typical of minor league games there is always something going... 更多

Really awesome venue for a baseball game. The ballpark is on an island and doubles as a museum for Jackie Robinson. The unique part is that it covers not just his baseball life but his social contributions and how great of an athlete his was in other sports (interactive areas werw you can try to break his long jump record,... 更多
