a recent visit for the first time. clean, quiet and not a lot of folks. can watch the boats and cruise ships come and go into the intra coastal water way - saw some really big iguana .
Don't bother going if you're single; the park authorities are afraid that you will contaminate the park and their conservative family agenda. This park has turned into a boring area, with no trees left for shade.
This is a cool park with direct beach access to snorkel or scuba dive. Although, Fort Lauderdale is a busy city, when you get to this park you forget your in the city. The marked paths for walking are well constructed. you are surrounded by trees and flowers and then the ocean. I just felt like I couod stay there... 更多
Easy access, convenient parking and not crowded at all.I know it is state funded but I think the beaches could be "tidier". Over all very nice with nice public facilities.
I always enjoy visiting the few small remaining parks in this state that is unfortunately hell bent on developing every square inch of land and water. This park is affordable and has nice shaded picnic benches and grills to use. Good toilet facilities and parking. Be aware that this park is incredibly popular on weekends and has ridiculously long lines... 更多
5-3-15 Decided to throw a BBQ for my Family here. I knew I had to get here early to pick a perfect picnic area spot. The entrance fee is $6 which is cheap considering there are many places to park here. This Park is huge! Parking Areas 2-5 are where the picnic areas are designated. They're all adjacent to the... 更多
I went to John U. Lloyd this weekend on the suggestion of a friend. I was very hesitant, at first because I wasn't sure I wanted to go to a park. I was surprise at how many people were waiting in line, but have patience the line moves rather quickly. I paid $6 to enter the park (2-8 people per... 更多
If it weren't for the air traffic from Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport I could give this an "Excellent" rating. This park is just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Beach and Ft. Lauderdale Beach without the crowds! Don't confuse them though. If you want full fare dining and libations with jet skis, parasailing and the like, this place... 更多
It is a beautiful State Park and is so worth the $6.00. A lot of areas to fish, kayak, beach picnics, and the best was going way to the end of park to the jetty, and doing the traditional Sail Away of the cruise ships that were leaving at 4pm on Sat. And Sun. So close to the ships and... 更多
Fantastic place to see the ships leave and wave Bon Voyage to cruisers leaving Fort Lauderdale! Our friends venture here on a regular basis, so we joined them recently. If you're there to watch ships leave, park in the furthest lot in the park, walk past the restrooms (which are really clean, by the way!), and continue along the path... 更多
