(Warning: Young Tampa Bay adults in for the weekend) We came here for the purpose of witnessing the sink holes and waterfall—nothing else yet once we entered the park it seemed as if the mere appearance of the trees transported us away from any natural Florida we thought we knew. STILL A HIDDEN TREASURE Despite it being a holiday weekend... 更多
The park is only 30 minutes from Florida Caverns state park and worth taking the time to see. The park showcases a water fall that cascades into a cavern that flows directly underground. There are some other short trails that also allow for viewing of sinkholes common in Florida. Picnic tables and recreation area also available. A wonderful day trip... 更多
We are on a road trip from Louisiana to Jacksonville, FL, and we planned on stopping in Chipley, FL for a night. The next morning, we wanted to go to Falling Waters State Park so that our kids could have some fun and burn some energy before getting back on the road. Falling Waters is right outside of Chipley, FL,... 更多
As a Florida resident and a senior, it cost me only nine dollars for a pull through spot, one of two out of 24 campsites in this little gem of a park, just off I 10, about 120 miles east of Pensacola, Florida. The centerpiece of the park is a small waterfall which empties into a sinkhole about about 100... 更多
I can't say enough about this park or this part of Florida. Waterfalls and caves typically don't spring to mind when thinking of the land of Mikey Mouse, palm trees and beaches. But we do have them! Falling Waters State Park is a little known treasure in the Florida Panhandle. The waterfall can sometimes be nothing more than a trickle.... 更多
One thing I liked about this park is even though there isn't a lot to see what there is has been easy to get to with excellent stairs and wooden paths. The price get a nice relaxing walk and although the waterfall cheats going into a sink hole it is still a good picture spot.
Nice place to see a unique natural waterfall in Florida. This is very rare for Florida. The trails are boardwalks that are nice and clean. The fall is easy and quick to get to. This is a great quick stop for a unique Florida find.
This is in Chipley.Around 20 miles from marianna. It has an entry fee. They have a 2 acre pond for swimming. But swimming is restricted to a basket court with ropes and floating objects.Water is not cool as we expect because normally fresh waters are cool/cold during day time. You can see fishes in the pond while you are in water.Kids love it because... 更多
Falling Waters is Florida's tallest waterfall. A small stream runs over the edge of a deep cylindrical sink to create a roughly 80-foot fall. Best to see during the winter or after heavy rains, it can be just a trickle in the summer but it is really something to see during the rainy season. The park is a great place... 更多
