We took the boat out of South seas plantation in Captiva to Useppa island. The boat ride itself was awesome. The three ship captains were very informative. The history lesson was awesome. The tour of the island was spectacular. Great history great people and great food. I would suggest everyone take this trip at some point.
Took a day trip to the island and was very pleased. It was beautiful. The grounds were amazing, and it had gorgeous banyan trees. The downside, there was really no beach. The one they did have was not very pretty. It had ugly sand, and dark water. But I don't think people go there for the beach. We ate at... 更多
We took our son and his wife and children to Useppa for a long weekend, after having rented a boat to use during that time. The house we stayed in was on the beach, and we spent much of the weekend boating to Cayo Costa, Cabbage Key and North Captiva. It was a glorious weekend, and our entire family would... 更多
Scheduled the day trip to this private island which houses a fabulous little museum and a great private club. The boat trip which leaves daily from Captiva allows a non-member to have lunch--which is great. The scenery and plantings are exquisite and the dolphins are numerous. Overall--an absolutely great day trip.
We have lived here 16 months and it is a wonderful lifestyle It took my husband 10 years to convince me to live here year round and I wish we had moved here sooner. Come explore this tropical paradise on the west coast of Florida. Great fishing, relaxing, etc and the mainland is 15 minutes by boat as well as great... 更多
We ate at the Useppa Island Club for lunch as part of the stop on the Captiva Cruises itinerary. It was wonderful. The food itself was nothing to write home about, and when you are married to an Executive Chef, you get to hear all about what could be better with it. But the setting was nice.
This is a great place to go and relax. No cars, just a few golf carts and acres of nature with wonderful walking paths, beaches and a neat museum. Play croquet, swim in a pool or play chess on a huge outdoor chess board. Really nest place if you know a member.
Useppa is a historic Island that is beautiful and loaded with history. The island is private and only open to members unless you take the ferry over from Captiva Island. There are about 100 historic homes on Useppa many built around the turn of the 20th century. There is a museum on the island that documents the history of the... 更多
