Whenever I go to Rehobeth, I go running around this lake. Very picturesque, wide lanes for runners and cars and shade of you need to rest
Silver Lake is excellent for running, walking, seeing the sights. Take the biggest loop and you'll wind up on the beach at least a mile south of the end of the boardwalk. Work up a good appetite on the sandy walk back and you'll be ready to try a boardwalk 'treat.' (bring water, especially on the long loop!)
I would say 5 stars but you are a hit from town and I found that less attractive. if I wanted a more restful stay it would be a 5 star .
Silver lake is at the south edge of the city at the border of Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach. It is a nice small lake just a block from the ocean surrounded by trees and houses. Good place to stroll around before or after dinner to relax before heading a couple blocks Rehoboth to enjoy restaurants and night life.
nice and quiet, beautiful in the fall when all the waterfowl are on the lake! Great location to walk on your way to the beach, especially "poodle beach"
This quaint area is pleasant to experience. When I leave, i am usually a little sad. It has such a charming feel. When in Rehoboth, I live right on the beach-very nice. But there is something so nostalgic about Silver Lake.
Wife and I love to bike around this lake on our trip. Second only to Gordon's Pond, for its tranquil beauty. Access to the lake appears to be private, but can be enjoyed from the roadway around it.
